Online Theology
Course I
GOD
Course Outline
Welcome to Online Theology sponsored by the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Newman Community at UNLV. In the Dominican tradition, I want Catholics to study their Catholic religion. This course (other courses will follow) is designed for Catholics and non-Catholics who want to know more about the Catholic religion and cannot attend enrichment classes. You study from the comfort of your house. There is no rush in studying these lessons - take your time. Read and reflect what you are studying, thus you will grow in your understanding of the Catholic beliefs.
Required Reading
The following books are required for reading as you go over this course:
1) The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) published by An Image Book
2) Doubleday United States Catholic Catechism for Adults (USCCA) published by US Conference of Catholic Bishops, Washington, D.C.
3) Catholicism (Study edition) by Richard Mcbrien (Cath) published by Harper San Francisco - New Edition - completely revised and updated
4) Documents of Vatican II (DV)
Requirements
Take your time as your read and reflect on the assigned readings. At the end of each session, you are asked to write a reflection paper and send it to me (Fr. Albert Felice-Pace, O.P.) either as an attachment at afp@juno.com or by mail at 4765 Brussels St, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Course Fee
There is a fee of $30 for the course payable to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Newman Center, 4765 Brussels St, Las Vegas, NV 89119. If you have any questions please call me at 702-274-3734.
